Scottish Boat Jumble Sunday 3 May - Disposal of Time Expired Flares - Item posted Sunday 3 May 2009

Patrons of the Scottish Boat Jumble at Troon Harbour were able to dispose of their time expired flares free of charge. The RNLI Sea Safery crew acted as the focal point for collection before passing them on to the licenced disposal organiser on site. The disposal service was declared a success and welcomed by various authorities exhibiting at the Boat Jumble.

Due to an error with bookings, the Devon Boat Jumble had been double booked with a bike show.

To avoid congestion, Compass Events have changed the Devon Boat Jumble date to Saturday 19 September 2009.

The explosives act of 1875 makes it illegal to sell pyrotechnics from any temporary stand. Flares will not be available at any of these events.

Boat Jumble opening hours are from 10:00 until approximately 15:00. Refreshments and toilet facilities are at all event.
